Little Pippa—daughter of Simon Perkins, vice president of creative and brand marketing, and his wife, Els Van Woert—has already been featured on this blog. Born into a sporting family, she’s already spent plenty of time on the field, and she clearly loves it.
To kick off our celebration of Mother’s Day, here’s a beautiful video that features Els and Pippa stalking trout on a Montana spring creek. For Els, motherhood isn’t just a state of being. It’s a journey, filled with small adventures along the way to a life well-lived with family. And Pippa’s reaction to a close encounter with a trout is sure to make you smile.
With every share of this video with the tag #LongLiveMoms, Orvis will donate $1 (up to $10,000) to Casting For Recovery. CFR enhances the quality of life of women with breast cancer through a unique retreat program that combines breast cancer education and peer support with the therapeutic sport of fly fishing.
Here’s to moms everywhere!

Why does’t the baby have eye protection on? A hook on even on a small fly could blind her in one eye & with S–‘s law, even in 2 eyes. Accidents can & will happen!

I forgot to note that the baby had sunglasses in her hands. However, it seems as though she can easily remove them, allowing “S–‘s Law” to occur.
