This video doesn’t have the greatest production values, but it offers a cool look at the small-stream fly fishing in the freestone streams at elevation in the Absaroka Beartooth Mountains in Montana over three days in September. There are cutthroat, rainbow, and brown trout on display, including one great underwater shot of a trout eating a dry fly.

Phil,
Nothing better then catching Cutthroat Trout on small streams in the Absaroka Mountains!!!!
Been on the Greybull in Wyoming.

Nice video. The underwater stuff is always cool. Were you on private land or public? I’m planning a trip up that way in July so I’d love to know if you were on the Boulder River or one of the nearby creeks? I’m certainly not asking for your favorite spots, just a sense for the water I might be able to access. Thanks,
John
John,
I put the video together, and Phil shared it on this website (thank you). All fishing was accessed through public access. If you would like more information, I’d be willing to give some general info via e-mail. There are some very well known spots pictured in the video but I’d still rather not name things much on a public blog etc more than I already have. Feel free to e-mail me at FishcastAngling@gmail. com I also have some additional videos on my youtube channel FishcastAngling, if anyone is interested. Thanks for watching!
