Video: “Finding Tapam” from Black Fly Eyes

Here’s another killer film from Lithuanian filmmakers Vaidas Uselis and Nerijus Rupciauskas—collectively known as Black Fly Eyes—who ventured into the jungles of Nicaraugua looking for monster tapam, the local Miskito people’s word for tarpon. (The region’s giant ‘poons first came to the public consciousness seven years ago, when Daniel Göz and Jan Bach Kristensen produced “Tapâm – a flyfishing journey.”) As usual, the BFE boys capture some incredible angling footage, as well as a taste of the local colors and culture.
