In this installment of his Q&A series, Brian Flechsig of Mad River Outfitters breaks down dry fly rigs, nymph rigs, and streamer rigs. This is great info for those just getting started out in the sport–some of whom might be reticent about asking so-called “stupid” questions–and it will probably help to clear up some confusion. Flechsig also goes into detail on the different types of fly fishing, which explains why the rigs are different for these three approaches.

Used to live in dublin ohio many years ago. Loved your shop. Bought a 8.5 4wt trident and a bfr cfo iv. Keep up the good work.
Thanks always something new (or old) to learn or remember. Your illustrations really help. Always enjoy hearing what you have to say. Sometimes I have to adjust a little for our west coast waters.
Brian were do you get that cool shirt?
