Video: How to Fly-Fish for Bass, Part I

Recently, our friend Alvin Dedeaux of Orvis-endorsed All Water Guides in Austin, Texas, posted a three-part series of videos on how to get started fly-fishing for bass. He kicks things off by saying that many folks ask him why they should fish for bass. His answer is really the only acceptable one. Alvin has decades of experience that he brings to bear on this discussion, so you could hardly ask for a better teacher. He touches on a lot of different subjects here, from how bass fishing is different from trout fishing to why fishing for bass will make you an overall better fly angler.

The number one reason to fly-fish for bass? Because it’s fun!

  1. I love the video! I learned how to fly fish fishing for bass when I was about 8 years old. I love to fish poppers and streamers for bass. I have graduated to fishing cold water trout in Montana streams and saltwater species (reds & specks).
Keep up the great teaching video’s!!!!
