Video: Listen to the River, Floating the South Fork Flathead

Here’s a cool video, from Wild Confluence Films, that’s unlike anything we’ve posted before, in that it combines wilderness, great fly-fishing for native cutthroats, and the threat of one of nature’s most dangerous phenomena. I love a video that’s more than just a series of scenes but that instead tries to weave together a narrative. Here, we follow the Wild Confluence crew on their fully self-supported packraft adventure as they enjoy some of finest fly fishing in the lower 48, endless solitude, and the rhythm of this pristine river. And just as the trip of a lifetime is about to come to a close things take an unexpected turn for the worse…

  1. That’s some real hippie stuff. Touching.

And I’ve never hear of a cutthroat described as “hard-fighting”.
