Every once in a while, I run across a fantastic fly-fishing video, but I can’t find out anything about it. “A Man and the River” is by David Crisp, whose vimeo profile simply says that he is “a musician living in California.” Then there’s a website address, but if you go there, there are just photos and videos, with no text. I tracked him to his twitter and Instagram accounts, but they don’t offer much more to go on.
Anyway, he produced this gorgeous, 4-minute video about a man (himself?) fly fishing for cutthroats and brookies in some gorgeous locations, and the soundtrack (also by him?) is equally mesmerizing. The fact that we have no answers for these questions doesn’t detract from the sheer beauty of the imagery, the cinematography, and the trout. So enjoy.
