Self-shot fly-fishing videos are tough to make, unless you like endless static shots in which the angler is far away or nausea-inducing “shaky cam” effects. But Frank Melro—a Portuguese angler now living in Montana—has done a great job of capturing the feeling of being on the river in fall in his adopted state. By mixing up the shots, catching some cool action, and matching the edits to the soundtrack, he’s created a compelling four-minute video that holds you attention throughout. Not a small feat. I especially dig the “ghosting” effect.

GREAT photographic and editing work. Gorgeous film! Loved it!
Reminds me of Pale Rider. Watched early this morn. Enjoyed the video.
