Here’s a great video from The New Fly Fisher, featuring Tom Rosenbauer fishing streamers under an indicator, rather than the ol’ cast-and-strip. This is a killer technique for cold water, when trout are not prone to chase down a fast-moving fly. You can also add a nymph dropper for even more chances to tempt a strike. Floating with guide Molly Semenik, Tom shows just how effective these techniques an be.
This is so right on,especially color of that bugger,my favorite. I’ve done good with indicator fishing buggers,often after all nymphs ignored!! I’ve never really done anything with tags,but definitely do work.
