Video: Salmonflies on Colorado’s Gunnison River


The salmonfly hatch is the most anticipated event of the year for many fly fishers in the Rockies, and this cool video features a group of “slingers” floating down the famed Gunnison River in search of fish feeding on these giant bugs. It looks like a great time, with lots of upward-looking brown trout, big rapids, and spectacular scenery.

  1. There was bobbers on both rigs with fish on them, maybe they’re just dry fly fishing with a bobber.
