Here’s a cool video that speaks to the universality of the fly-fishing experience. There are scenes here that couls have been shot on my local trout stream, but in fact these anglers are casting for small hampala barb (Hampala macrolepidota) in Thailand. Also known as “jungle perch,” these fish prefer clean, well-oxygenated water, just like trout.
