This is a long one, at just under 30 minutes, but there is a ton of great action and plenty of huge trout. Guide Mike Kirkpatrick and his client, Kresten Ovesen, head into the backcountry of New Zealand’s South Island in November. I love the way he expresses disappointment about the size of the first fish, even though it would be the fish of a lifetime for many American anglers. What follows is a series of scenes in which the angler faces problems and often solves them to bring a fish to hand. Cool stuff.
