In this week’s how-to video from Ben Sittig, a.k.a Huge Fly Fisherman, he wades into a topic important to all anglers: fly-fishing etiquette. If read enough blogs or forums, you’ll see plenty of folks complaining that on-stream manners have gone the way of the dodo, but it kind of depends where you do most of your fishing. HFF draws some interesting distinctions between fishing with strangers and fishing with friends.
If you’re not familiar with the terms “high-holing” and “low-holing,” or you need to brush up on your heckling techniques, you’ll definitely want to watch this. The Golden Rule is in play.

Seems to be different rules depending upon where you are from, for instance on the west coast clearly there are no rules in California or Washington State. If asked nicely some of my water is always available, I may ever give you fly that has been working, but not to give me you life story, just move, fish, dink some beer and don’t bother me!! T.
