Vote In Our “#DadOutdoors” Photo Contest—and You Could Win, Too!

A couple weeks ago, we asked you to post your best photos of dads outdoors on Facebook and Instagram for a chance to win one of three great fly rods: a Helios 3, a Recon, or a Clearwater model. We received hundreds of great images, and from those we’ve chosen our ten finalists. Now you get to help pick the winner.

Take a gander at the top 10 photos in the widget below (click on each image for a larger version), and then choose your three favorites. The photographer whose image receives the most total votes will win the Helios 3, while second place gets a Recon, and third place a Clearwater..

We’ll also give a pair of Orvis Nippers to one randomly selected voter at the end of the voting. To be eligible to win the nippers, you MUST leave a comment about the photos in the comments section below. (That’s the only way we’ll know who you are, since the poll widget doesn’t collect data on voters.)

Voting is open until 11:59 p.m. (EDT) on Saturday, June 16. We will announce the winners on Father’s Day, June 17. So choose your three favorites, and then leave a comment!

Don’t forget to leave your comment!

The sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the USA who are 18 or older. (We apologize to our readers in Canada and overseas; Click here for an explanation of why we have to do this.)

    1. They are all great entries though I am partial to the one with Father and Daughter planting a garden together. To me it signifies that there are so many opportunities for teaching moments.

  2. It’s a joy to see how the love of the outdoors, and particularly flyfishing, are being passed down. Glad to see all the entries.

  3. Numbers 2,4 and 5 are beutoful pictures of those awesome dad adventures I have not been able to have however exceptionally lucky to have two little boys I will be able to teach.

  4. I liked Fredy’s, Mike’s and Greg’s pictures because they show a father and a young child in each one.

  5. Great photos! Some really fabulous shots. It’s too bad we can’t get more minorities to be involved in the outdoors. I really like what you are doing with the #5050on the water campaign. Maybe one day we’ll get more representation of minorities in fly fishing than we do today.

  6. These being back memories of my husband and son. Husband is up in Heaven dishing now but my son is still here on Earth to enjoy the sport. Good luck to everyone and enjoy life.

  24. As one of the Dads who had a picture submitted by his daughter, there is no better feeling than having her call up and say let’s go fly fishing. We spent the day before Father’s Day floating a new section of river. I’m so flattered to have our picture shared with everyone, it is a special place that has been shared with special people; none more special than my daughter.

Thank you Orvis for making my daughter feel welcome to the sport of fly fishing. Your 50/50 On the Water is making an impact.
