Vote In Our 2019 “Dad Outdoors” Photo Contest—and You Could Win, Too!

A couple weeks ago, we asked you to post your best photos of dads outdoors on Facebook and Instagram for a chance to win one of three great fly rods: a Helios 3, a Recon, or a Clearwater model. We received hundreds of great images, and from those we’ve chosen our ten finalists. This was tougher than it sounds. After our initial survey of entries, we had 48 wonderful photos that we then had to whittle down to ten. Let’s just say that there were fights . . . .

Now you get to help pick the winner.

Take a gander at the top 10 photos in the widget below (click on each image for a larger version), and then choose your three favorites. The photographer whose image receives the most total votes will win the Helios 3, while second place gets a Recon, and third place a Clearwater.

We’ll also give a pair of Orvis Nippers to one randomly selected voter at the end of the voting. To be eligible to win the nippers, you MUST leave a comment about the photos in the comments section below. (That’s the only way we’ll know who you are, since the poll widget doesn’t collect data on voters.)

Voting is open until NOON (12:00 p.m. EDT) on Friday, June 14. We will announce the winners on Father’s Day, June 16. So choose your three favorites, and then leave a comment!

Don’t forget to leave your comment!

The sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the USA who are 18 or older. (We apologize to our readers in Canada and overseas; Click here for an explanation of why we have to do this.)

    1. What you teach your sons or daughters goes beyond just your kid(s) it permeates throughout their lives, their friends, etc. Because Anders is a friend of my son, my son and I are having a blast fly fishing in Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons this week!

      1. Brian,
It was so neat to have Mason join Anders and me the day we fished for brookies on the Stewart River. And to know that you two are now fly fishing out west is incredibly cool!
Seeing this sport grow and provide memorable experiences to so many is deeply rewarding.
Happy you and Mason are getting out on the water together!

  23. There’s nothing sweeter than a dad spending time with their children. We didn’t get to go fishing with dad….he was always out on field maneuvers or at the motor pool. I loved spending time with dad at the motor pool on weekends. Climbing on tanks, trucks and jeeps is so much fun.
Wishing all a happy father’s day and great fishing!

  24. Love all the photos! Favorite is “Boys in the Snow”. They are my boys and hubby who took off Thanksgiving morning to get in some quality time together before the big feast. So happy they captured the moment with a photo. Thanks for acknowledging this special time of them together ❤️
