Photos of the Day: Utah Pheasants at Pleasant Valley Hunting Grounds

What every wingshooter hopes to see, a cock pheasant rising from the grass.

Dave Danley of Falcon’s Ledge in Altamont, Utah, sent me these great shots from their Pleasant Valley Hunting Grounds, which are irrigated, cultivated, and managed specifically for Utah pheasant and chukar hunting. With the snowcapped Uinta Mountains to the north and a panoramic one-hundred-mile view from the clubhouse, it’s a gorgeous place to hunt

Hunting among stunning scenery is one of the advantages of Pleasant Valley.
