Video: Farmland Huns in Montana

Endorsed guide Chad Hoover took this video of Hungarian Partridge at an old farm site in eastern Montana last September. Huns are notorious for being found around old farm sites and abandoned farm equipment, as these elements of the landscape afford them cover. Unlike sharptail grouse, which share a similar general range and habitat, Huns will often run,  rather than fly, to avoid danger. Hence, a covey will often remain centralized around a piece of cover such as an old farm site, and will generally not range too far from the safety and security of that cover.
