Here’s a beautiful video that follows one couple’s attempt to achieve a “McNab” by catching an Atlantic salmon, shooting a brace of grouse, and taking a highland stag in a single day. The upland scenes are especially stunning, capturing the excitement of the flush, the determination of the dogs, and the skills of the shotgunners. The scenery of the Scottish highlands throughout is simply breathtaking.

Important footnote is the origin of the MacNab which came from John Buchan’s “John MacNab” copyright 1927. It is the essence of the coined term. And a very good read.
